Deer Hunting Information

Maumee Valley Chapter of the NWTF holds its Wheelin’ Sportsmen Hunt on the second weekend in November. The hunt is held at Maumee Bay State Park, Oregon Ohio. This hunt is designed for people with disabilities. We are here to encourage and support these hunter’s desires to be in the woods. Whether they no longer hunt due to a disability or think they cannot hunt, we would like to enable them.

The morning starts off with a lite breakfast. After introductions and a safety meeting, hunters and their guides will be taken to their blinds by a volunteer. A hot lunch is provided for whenever the hunter decides to come in for a break. Hunting is from sunrise to sunset on Saturday & sunrise until noon on Sunday. At the end of the day all hunters / guides will be escorted back to the shelter house.

Successfully drawn applicant names will be posted below. Those people drawn for this hunt will also be called by one of our volunteers.
